In order to provide quality care, medication refills are best addressed at the time of your visit with your physician. This allows you to update the physician and to plan any necessary change in your medication or to schedule any testing that may need to be done. We understand, however, that sometimes this is not possible.
Prescription refills generally require at least 48 hours’ advance notice. Please call your pharmacy for prescription refills. Most pharmacies will call or fax our office to get your physician’s approval for routine medications.
Please try to refrain from calling for routine prescription refills after 4:00 p.m. or on weekends, as your physician needs to review and approve all refills.
Insurance Required Medication Authorizations
We choose the medication we believe best meets your individual needs. Should your insurance company deny the prescribed medicine, we can discuss insurance approved alternatives (we request that you obtain the company’s drug formulary either through their website or booklets.) A follow up visit may be required to discuss alternatives
